Tennis: Nadal to face Djokovic in French Open semi final
Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic will face each other in a French Open semi-final after both won their quarter-finals in straight sets. Seven-time champion Nadal defeated Stanislas Wawrinka 6-2 6-3 6-1 on Court Philippe Chatrier, while current world number one Djokovic beat Tommy Haas 6-3 7-6 (7-5) 7-5 on Court Suzanne Lenglen. The two tournament favourites will meet on Friday, with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga playing David Ferrer for the other spot in the French Open final. Djokovic and Nadal should have normally met in the final but they will meet before that because the Spaniard is seeded third as he fights his way back from a seven-month break for a knee injury. Nadal said: "I know that I play against the best player of the world. I know that he's having great results for a long time. I'm just trying to play my way, trying to find my rhythm and trying to play my best match. That's the only way to have a chance in the semi-final." Djokovic said: "I look forward to the match. You know, it's not the first time I'm playing him. We have played over 30 times. I'm sure that we know each other's games really well. We are in good form. This is the biggest match-up of our Roland Garros 2013 campaign for both me and him." Wawrinka pulled off a thrilling five-set win over Richard Gasquet to reach the quarter finals but he was unable to perform as well against Nadal. The Swiss dropped his serve in the opening game and Nadal cruised to a 4-1 lead. Wawrinka managed to clinch a break in the second set but Nadal was not to be denied. Djokovic had a tougher task against veteran Tommy Haas, even though the Serbian world number one held his serve easily throughout the first two sets. The semi finals will be played on Friday, here are the odds for both matches at Bet365: Djokovic vs Nadal Djokovic win - 11/8 Nadal win - 4/7 Tsonga vs Ferrer Tsonga win - 13/10 Ferrer win - 8/13
