Update: Still No Movement for Canadian Sports Betting Bill
Despite running through the House of Commons over a year ago, bill C290 which is proposing changes to Canadian sports betting is still stuck in the Senate due to upper house procrastination and opposition. Since there's a possibility that the continued delays may eventually kill off the single-game sports betting bill by the time the Senate recesses on June 28, an online website-based information campaign has been launched by the Canadian Gaming Association. On the website, the CGA provided factual information which it has contrasted with some of the misinformation floated by opponents of the proposal. The site also contains links to register the visitors' views with the Canadian political establishment.
