Champions League final: Dortmund hope to recover Hummels
Borussia Dortmund believe it is "absolutely realistic" that centre-back Mats Hummels will be fit for Saturday's Champions League final against Bayern Munich. Hummels limped off the pitch last weekend against Hoffenheim and that put his place in the final at Wembley in doubt. But Dortmund's team doctor has revealed Hummels has only suffered a sprained ankle. At the same time Bayern defender Holger Badstuber has picked up a long-term knee ligament injury and will surely miss the final. "Obviously, we'll give him all the time in the world to get fit," Bayern sporting director Matthias Sammer said. "We're optimistic. I'm confident he'll be back, stronger than ever." Badstuber, who has earned 30 caps for Germany, suffered a fresh tear in the ligament in his right knee while undergoing rehabilitation. He will have surgery and will be out of action for at least another six months. For Dortmund, the good news about Hummels represent another boost of confidence after head coach Jurgen Klopp said last week that star player Mario Gotze should be ready for the final with his recovery from a thigh problem "going according to plan". Gotze, just 20 years old, will join Bayern for £31.5m in the summer. He has not played since being injured in last month's semi-final second-leg meeting with Real Madrid. The big final is coming up on Saturday at Wembley, here are the odds for the most important match of the season at Bet365: Borussia Dortmund win - 15/4 Draw - 29/10 Bayern Munich win - 4/5
