Tote-Betfred Deal Becomes Effective

Coming to fruition, a deal between UK bookmaker Betfred and TotelFootball saw pool betting on fantasy football launched into the Tote's offering on Totepool (.com) site. This is the Tote's first venture into pool betting outside of horse racing, and this way Betfred has become the first bookmaker to get into the TotelFootball network. As for the game, it involves two crucial twists compared to traditional fantasy football games - competitions only span the course of a weekend, so each game week brings a new chance of success; and customers are able to set variable stakes and win large cash prizes. Also, it covers various top leagues, such as the English Premier League, the Champions League, La Liga, Serie A and Bundesliga, and it's real-life performance that determines the success of each customer's chosen team. In addition, there are 6-aside competitions on live televised fixtures which are played out over one or more live games.
