Nevada Bill on Election Betting Progresses to the House
The legalization of betting on federal elections is closer than ever to Nevada punters thanks to the progress made by the bill SB 418 through the state Senate on a 14-7 vote. Thanks to the favorable vote, the bill is now on its way to the House. The Senate passed another bill, AB 346 which seeks to permit syndicate, group or 'entity' wagering within the state on sports events, on a unanimous vote, with just one abstention. Interestingly and despite their severe opposition to New Jersey sports betting expansion, the national sports leagues did not complain about such a development.
