After spending 18 months on its development, UK gambling firm Betfred has launched a new proprietary mobile sports betting platform, providing the company with a major advantage in the mobile marketplace, it was announced this week.
The new platform features an improved in-play product, navigation, social media links, live events and betting highlights.
According to Head of Betfred Mobile Development Andrew Daniels, 'It's an exciting time for all of us, but most importantly our customers will see a real difference.
'Having our own platform will enable us to develop new products in-house and have the best mobile product in the market. We will no longer be reliant on a third party, meaning we can drive the product and give customers what they want.
'Ultimately, having our own platform means we can punch above our weight,' he concluded.
It was added by Head of Betfred Mobile Stuart Magowan: 'Our customers will find that the user experience on our new sportsbook is second to none.
'We won't be resting on our laurels though. We've enjoyed some major developments over the course of the last year or so, but we will continue to strive towards establishing Betfred Mobile as a best of breed among mobile platforms.'
