Arsenal's four-match winning streak came to an end on Tuesday as they recorded a goalless draw against Everto. The results doesn't really benefit either of the two teams, both chasing a top-four finish and access to next season's Champions League. Everton had a pair of good chances through Steven Pienaar and Ross Barkley while Olivier Giroud squandered a few good opportunities for Arsenal.
Arsenal are now two points clear of fifth-placed Spurs but Tottenham have a game in hand while Everton, unbeaten in six league games, are two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea but The Blues have two games in hand on the Toffees.
The visitors had the firs good chance of the match after just seven minutes when Coleman delivered a perfect pass for Pienaar but the South African player missed the target. Arsenal were restricted to just a couple of chances in the first half, both missed by Kieran Gibbs in the 24th minute and by Giroud from close range later on. The Gunners had a better display in the second half but were still unable to create clear cut chances. Santi Cazorla tried his luck with a powerful effort but Tim Howard saved it while youngster Ross Barkley nearly gave Everton the lead with a fine shot from distance. Olivier Giroud had the final chance of the game but he was stopped by Coleman.
The battle for a top-four finish is getting increasingly exciting and the odds are shifting from one match day to the other. Here's how those odds for a top-four finish are looking today at Bet365:
Chelsea - 1/3
Arsenal - 1/3
Tottenham - 11/10
