Betfred Owners Back Acive Win Media Limited

News came this week that founders and owners of gambling firm Betfred and Peninsula Business Services have decided to back Active Win Media Limited, a new Manchester-based digital media and marketing start-up. The company was founded by managing director Warren Jacobs, and its goal is to build a dedicated workforce of 50 staff over the next 10 months to provide marketing services and traffic development for online and mobile operations. Furthermore, Jacobs' new venture seeks to drive traffic, build affiliate networks and manage online media using a business model that operates at low cost and low risk for the customer. As for Betfred's interest in the start-up, it has been specified that it will use marketing services from the standalone company for its .com online and mobile business, at the same time stating that it is one of a number of new ventures the Done brothers will be backing. According to Fred Done, "The idea is to provide exciting new businesses with the tools they need for rapid growth and success which may include funding, office space, IT, HR etc but most importantly the mentoring and guidance we are able to provide with 50 years of experience building businesses in the UK and the North West."
