Recent concerns regarding increased illegal online sports betting in South Korea and threats of action against them have been realized through a raid conducted by the South Korean police in the Gyeongi province where an allegedly illegal online casino operator has been broken.
During the action, the police arrested 13 individuals connected with the enterprise, stating that together with Interpol they are looking for another 10 suspects who fled the country.
According to police spokesman Shim Jae-hoon, the ring put up and promoted over 200 websites since 2011.
