Fans Disappointed with Tiger Woods’ Live Coverage at the Masters
It turns out that fans won't be able to catch a glimpse of Tiger Woods' first round at the Masters live on Thursday unless you're live at the event. With other groups being featured on Masters.com, the bulk of Tiger's 18 holes will not be televised until replays are shown during national coverage on ESPN at 3pm. Groups to be featured on the Masters website include Peter Hanson, Charl Schwartzel, and Webb Simpson with the second including K.J. Choi, Zach Johnson, and Graeme McDowell. Tee off time for Tiger starts at 10:45am so by the time live coverage starts, he'll probably be done; however viewers will be able to watch five live holes of his round catching up on highlights later in the day. Masters only features players once so Tiger will be in Friday's group. He'll be teeing off at 1:41pm and the later tee time makes his round available on live television coverage so viewers won't miss much of anything. Fans are disappointed because Tiger could have been part of Thursday's featured groups and they wouldn't have to miss a moment of his 36 holes. Unless you can somehow see Thursday's round in person, you won't catch much of Tiger.
