Ladbrokes Not to Acquire Tom Waterhouse

In light of recent speculations, UK land and online gambling group Ladbrokes has denied making any moves towards the acquisition of the top Aussie independent bookmaker Tom Waterhouse. Ladbrokes is not the only big bookie to be connected to the acquisition, however – media has so far claimed about several others that bids of up to A$200 million have been offered to the 30-year-old head of the Australian family business. In addition, CEO Tom Waterhouse has also declined to comment on the matter in any way other than specifying that his company regularly receives calls regarding acquisition possibilities.
