This week, the UK Gambling Commission has decided to apply sections 116 and 118 of the Gambling Act 2005 to initiate a review of Cricket Bet Limited (operating as cricketbetlive on a .co.uk domain).
With this in mind, the Commission has suspended the remote betting activity-related part of the firm's Operating Licence, as an interim measure during the review.
In addition, the website itself has posted an advisory in which it confirms the suspension will be in effect until March 21, 2013, announcing that it will appeal the decision. In the meantime, it stated, customer balance withdrawals may continue as usual.
Cricketbet is an Australian-based company which holds licenses in the UK and Australia.
