Minnesota Vikings Take Jerome Simpson Back

Minnesota Vikings Take Jerome Simpson Back
Wide receiver Jerome Simpson has signed on with the Minnesota Vikings in a one year contract. During the last season, Simpson, 27, played in 12 games on the Vikings team and successfully caught 26 catches for 274 yards. The following day after Percy Harvin was traded to the Seattle Seahawks, the Vikings brought Simpson back into the fold. The contract is said to be dependent on whether Simpson agrees to the terms and passes a physical examination. After violating the league's policy on substance abuse Simpson was suspended for the first three games of last season. Simpson has a record of 97 catches for 1,278 yards and 7 touchdowns in 41 career games between his time with the Vikings and Cincinnati Bengals. He's been in the NFL for 5 years now and he has a decent history but with his prior troubles, why would the Vikings want him back?
