Update: New York Race Track Gets Sportech’s Online Betting Product
A new Internet pari-mutuel advance deposit wagering platform has become available in the US State of New York thanks to the partnership between Western Regional Off-Track Betting Corp (WROTB) owned harness racing track Batavia Downs and Sportech's eBet Technologies. Operating under the brand "BataviaBets", the platform expands Internet wagering on horse racing. Many seem to be happy with the results of the partnership, including WROTB's operations manager Jim Haas, who said: "We have been very satisfied with the quality of the eBet Internet wagering platform and with the speed and simplicity of implementing this key extension of our account wagering service." It was added by David Schreff, Sportech's chief operating officer – The Americas, that "The smooth implementation of the BataviaBets service in the midst of the Sportech/eBet acquisition is testament to the expertise and professionalism of the eBet team, led by Mark Gregory, Sportech's new Managing Director of its Interactive Products and Services group."
