Sportech Appoints New CFO

This week, gambling operator and pools and tote gaming supplier Sportech plc announced the appointment of Cliff Baty (42) as chief financial officer based at Sportech's head office in London, UK. Baty, who will be reporting directly to CEO Ian Penrose, will take over his position in mid May, when he will leave the Ladbrokes online and land gambling group, where he currently serves as finance director of both international businesses and corporate development. Prior to Ladbrokes, he worked in Ernst&Young, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Baty's predecessor, Steve Cunliffe, will be leaving the company on 6 March 2013, it was specified.
