The fog has delayed Tiger Woods' 7th win at Torrey Pines on Saturday.
Thick fog put a stop to the 3rd round of the Farmers Insurance Open 2013. After a delay of 3 hours, the players finally started the round but the fog wasn't going away for long. It returned 5 minutes into the round forcing them to postpone it before completing even one hole.
The foggy weather put a stop to the round and killed the remainder of the day. Officials hope to get things rolling and complete the round on Sunday.
Woods currently has a two-shot lead over Billy Horschel which could lead to his victory in the tournament.
Mark Russell, the tour's vice president of competition, said that getting in some play time on Saturday was necessary to ensure that the round is wrapped up on time; however if players aren't able to aim through the fog, they can't play.
Woods won 3 tournaments last season which inched him closer to the top of the PGA Tour Money list yet he has been unable to win a major since 2008. After a nice five-hole streak he's got a strong start to 2013.
