A major online gambling ring was broken this week in Vietnam when a massive police action was conducted as a culmination of a year-long investigation.
The social security and high tech crime police units broke a nation-wide criminal organisation that offered internet sports betting in various forms and, according to them, processed tens of millions of US dollars in wagers.
Reportedly, 7 persons were arrested in the action conducted in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, but some of the ring leaders are still free and wanted.
