Inter Milan accept Galatasaray bid for Wesley Sneijder
Inter Milan have accepted an offer from Turkish club Galatasaray for Netherlands midfielder Wesley Sneijder. Galatasaray are believed to be prepared to pay 10 million euros for the 28-year-old international and meet his rather high wage demands. Inter president Massimo Moratti said: "Galatasaray's offer satisfies us. Now it depends on the player." Sneijder, who was strongly linked with Manchester United last summer, has not played for Inter since 25 September because of a disagreement over his contract. In November, the Italian side informed Sneijder he would not play for them until he agreed a significant cut in his salary. The player refused, meaning he has been on the sidelines ever since, despite being fit for the past two months. It remains to be seen whether the playmaker will agree to move to Turkey, having suggested he would only consider one of Europe's top few teams. Sneijder was named Dutch footballer of the year 2004, he won the treble with Inter Milan in 2010 and then was named second best player at 2010 World Cup after inspiring Netherlands to final. He is the Netherlands top-scoring midfielder of all time. Inter are among the favourites to win this season's Europa League, Bet365 have them at 12/1 to win the trophy, while top favourites Atletico Madrid are priced at 13/2.
