The sponsorship efforts of the German online gambling company MyBet Holding SE (formerly Jaxx SE) have been extended following an exclusive deal with the German football team Eintracht Braunschweig.
“With Eintracht Braunschweig we opted for a strong tradition of association, which has inspired us with its great football in the first round,” said Mathias Dahms, CEO of MyBet. “As an emerging club, Eintracht fits perfectly into our sponsorship strategy and we look forward to working with The Lions.”
The company is already experienced in sponsorship activities, as it signed a deal in August last year with the small regional football club VfR Neumunster whereas the two teams it sponsored last season, SpVgg Greuther Furth and Fortuna Dusseldorf, have in the meantime advanced to the Bundesliga after finishing first and third respectively in the lower second division of Bundesliga.
“The partnership with MyBet Holding shows how attractive the Eintracht Braunschweig brand is and once again highlights the positive development of the club,” said Soeren Oliver Voigt, CEO for the Braunschweig-based club.
Established back in 1895, Eintracht Braunschweig was one of the 16 founding members of the Bundesliga in 1963 and won its only national title in 1967.
From the mid-1980s onwards, the team's fortunes declined and it played in the lower second and third divisions. However, it is currently on its way up as a leading team in the second tier of German football with 44 points after 19 games.
