Premier League: Chelsea demolish Aston Villa
Chelsea completely destroyed in-form Aston Villa on Sunday and bounced back up to third place in the Premier League. Fernando Torres paved the way with a header after just three minutes and then David Luiz and Branislav Ivanovic made it 3-0 at half time. Frank Lampard celebrated his 500th Premier League match with a fourth goal on the hour mark, then Ramires came off the bench to bag a brace before Oscar converted a penalty and Eden Hazard netted the final goal. The result marked the first time seven players from one team have scored in a match and matched Chelsea's record 8-0 win over Wigan from May 2010. The visitors went into the game with full confidence, considering their fine recent form and last Saturday's fine win against Liverpool. But the home side took the lead after just three minutes and that appeared to take the wind off the Villains' sails. In-form Fernando Torres opened the scoring with his seventh goal in six games when he found the top corner with a great 15-yard header from an Ivanovic cross. Villa tried to get back into the game for 20 minutes but Luiz converted a 25-yard free-kick with a powerful shot to double the lead. Ivanovic then headed in after a fine turn and shot from centre-back Gary Cahill and Villa were 3-0 down at the break. England midfielder Lampard smashed in the fourth from 25 yards on the hour and the floodgates opened as Chelsea scored four goals in the final 15 minutes. Substitute Ramires bagged number five after a fine pass from fellow substitute Lucas Piazon, then Oscar, another sub, fired in number six. Goal number seven arrived when Hazard exchanged passes with Piazon before firing into the corner of the net. Then Piazon saw a late penalty saved after being fouled by Ciaran Clark, but the eighth goal did arrive courtesy of Ramires. Chelsea's next game is on Wednesday, when they travel to meet Norwich. Here are the odds for the game from Bet365: Norwich win - 5/1 Draw - 11/4 Chelsea win - 8/13
