Former Sportingbet Managing Director Joins Betway

An announcement came this week from European online betting firm The Betway Group that it has appointed former Sportingbet managing director for Europe, Bob Dutnall, as executive director of its Guernsey branch. Prior to this and the Sportingbet position, Dutnall was chief financial officer in a number of consumer and industrial market firms. Commenting on the appointment, Dutnall said: “I am joining a fast-moving highly entrepreneurial company that is in an ideal position to expand rapidly as increased regulation in European markets drives consolidation across the industry.” In addition, Richard Akitt, The Betway Group chief executive officer asserted: “Bob's experience across a wide range of consumer and industrial companies, and his online gaming experience at Sportingbet will help us to maximise benefits from a consolidating industry, as companies across our industry merge, or co-operate with land based operators, and seek partnerships in social gaming.”
