Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger Recovers from Injuries
Ben Roethlisberger, Quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, isn't looking good to return to the game after he suffered shoulder and rib injuries. There is hope that he can return to play in the team's game against the Baltimore Ravens in December but it's unlikely. Doctors project that Roethlisberger will not play for three weeks but his fellow team mates hang on to hope that he will miss just two games and come back strong for a rematch against the Ravens. Roethlisberger will not play in Sunday night's game against the Ravens and at this point, will not play next Sunday at Cleveland. His rib injury has caused concern because the doctors say it's a threat is to the surrounding arteries, vessels and soft tissue. He was experience significant pain on Friday and unfortunately, it has been reported that there is no treatment other than time to cure Roethlisberger's injuries. Yes, Roethlisberger will be absent from Sunday night's game; however running back Rashard Mendenhall will be back and starting in the Baltimore game. Safety Ryan Clark has also had his share of injuries with two concussions in the last few weeks. He told ESPN that he will be sporting a bigger helmet with a layer of bullet-proof Kevlar for the Ravens game.
