MARCA and GTech G2 Enter Sports Betting Deal
A deal inked this week between Spielo International's GTech G2 business arm and Spanish publishing group Unidad Editorial, the owner of the popular sports newspaper MARCA, will see GTech G2 supply a full sports betting solution using its Margin Maker software which will be hosted on the MARCA website. This way, MARCA will be able to provide Spanish punters with wagering opportunities through in-play betting and a suite of gaming products via the new MARCA Apuestas brand. The whole offering will be advertised in a multi-million Euro marketing campaign. SPIELO International and GTech G2's President and CEO Walter Bugno said regarding the deal: “MARCA is the most popular sports newspaper in Spain and part of the largest publishing group in the country, Unidad Editorial. MARCA has millions of loyal readers so this agreement will enhance GTech G2's presence in Spain and solidify our leading position in the sports betting market.” It was added by MARCA General Manager Nicola Speroni: “We are delighted to have reached this agreement with such an esteemed partner.
