Cantor Gaming Sports Betting Director Busted, Company Not Involved
Many eyebrows were raised this week when reports came that enforcement authorities arrested Cantor Gaming sports book director Mike Colbert (32) in Las Vegas on a warrant issued by the Queens, New York, District Attorney's office, alleging 8 counts of conspiracy, money laundering, and enterprise corruption. Colbert is one of eight persons arrested in the action and taken to the Clark County Detention Centre; the other seven are Joseph Paulk, Jerald Branca, Steven Diano, Brant England, Kelly Barsell, Ian Mandell and Paul Sexton. According to some media, the charges involve the offshore online sportsbetting site Pinnacle Sports. At this point it is known for sure that Cantor and Colbert's other professional responsibility, MResort, is not involved in the case. More info about the action will be available at a press conference later in the day.
