The newly constructed Swedish National stadium owned by the Swedish Football Association and dubbed the Friends Arena has selected Swedish state-controlled gaming operator Svenska Spel as its official partner. This is the second sponsorship agreement inked by the company, following that with the Råsunda Football Stadium. Svenska Spel brand manager Johan Lindvall on the occasion said: "We are sure that many great sporting moments will play out in Sweden's new national stadium and obviously we want to be there when sporting history is written." And history will surely happen there, with numerous major sporting events already being scheduled to take place at this largest stadium in the Nordic region and the second largest indoor stadium in Europe, including World Cup qualifying matches and the Women's European Championship finals in football.
