A new deal emerged on the Irish online gambling market this week, when Dublin-based social betting company BragBet teamed up with Irish independent bookmaker Boylesports.
The deal will see BragBet's initially fun-play social betting platform offer real-money sports bets in cooperation with BoyleSports, which will manage and handle all odds offered and bets placed within the BragBet site.
The whole concept implies that a team (made of friends, family) should register and deposit into a joint pot. Then, they can share their suggested bets and comment on their friends suggestions, and each week the captain of the team (captains change every week) decides how the pot is used and which bets to place.
Commenting on this concept, Keith O'Loughlin, chief executive officer of Boylesports Online, said the company believes the social network sector has excellent growth potential.
"Working together with BragBet we're introducing a new kind of fun, interactive betting that will particularly appeal to the younger, digital native market who have grown up with social networking and expect a more entertaining experience," he said.
