In this week's announcement regarding its sponsorship of the U.K. Snooker Championship, William Hill Sportsbook and Racebook informed the public that the deal has been extended from the initial one-year period for another two years.
The total prize pool at this year's William Hill U.K. Championship, which will be held from the 1st to 9th December at the York Barbican, will amount to GBP 625 000.
According to World Snooker Chairman Barry Hearn, "William Hill recognise that this sport is going places and they want to be involved, and we welcome them back with open arms to sponsor this outstanding tournament. They were clearly delighted with the amount of exposure they got for their brand from the event last year. The William Hill U.K. Championship is one of our biggest world ranking events and is watched by many millions of people worldwide."
On behalf of the gambling company its chief marketing officer Kristof Fahy said: "Snooker has a massive global reach and our sponsorship will enable us to reach over 100 million potential customers across the world."
