A new deal has been closed this week between UK bookmaker, Betfred and Cheltenham Racecourse, extends the sponsorship of the Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup for another three years.
This is the most significant race for Cheltenham in 2012, and Betfred took over its sponsorship immediately after it bought the Tote.
According to the bookie's Managing Director, John Haddock, the extension of deal was triggered by the success of the last year's Cheltenham Gold Cup.
