High School Running Back Achieves Amazing Stats
On his 18th birthday, one special senior running back at Aloha High School, Thomas Tyner, pulled off 644 rushing yards and scored 10 touchdowns! Tyner smashed Oregon's state record with his team's 84-63 win on Friday evening. His rushing yards and astonishing 10 touchdowns have him ranked third in prep football history. Tyner managed to score these numerous touchdowns at 20, 41, 62, 60, 65, 48, 41, 40, 34 and 10 yards. He is also a state champion sprinter in high school track which very apparent in Friday night's game. Tyner has amazingly surpassed the 1,000-yard rushing mark with 1,228 for the season and 17 touchdowns currently. There are football players that are unable to reach stats like this in their entire career. "The beginning of the game I saw in the guys eyes. We were ready to play," Tyner told a local newspaper. "They opened up the holes, I would've never done it without them." This will be a birthday that Tyner will never forget.
