This week, a US entrepreneur and long-time Prague resident Jarrod Epps revealed more info about his new Eastern European-based online betting exchange, BuddyBet, giving his view on what makes this new company different from others.
First, he noted: "We believe other websites are missing the point for a lot of people. People don't go to Vegas and play blackjack all night because they're concerned about the odds. They do it because it's social. You sit at the table, you have a lot of fun, and it's not that confusing. Those are the people we want."
Then, he stated that his operation takes only a small cut on bets placed and also enables punters to bet against each other, including prop bets, and post vids, photographs and text messages, thus leveraging players' need for a more social betting environment.
He further specified that while BuddyBet targets the United Kingdom and Ireland, there are plans to expand its activities to other countries where online gambling and betting exchanges are permitted.
The company hopes to get its Isle of Man license and go live with full-cash betting by the end of this year.
