A new deal emerged on the Danish online gambling market this week following a tender process, and it was closed between state-controlled Danske Spil and Openbet, thanks to which the Danish gaming operator will get a new sports betting platform.
It has been specified that the new platform should be launched in the first half of 2013 followed by upgraded or new platforms for other game offerings.
"We have fared very well in the sports betting market since the introduction of the new Gaming Act on first January this year,' said Jens Aaløse, chief executive officer of Danske Spil. 'With Openbet's platform, we are strengthening our sports games further with a significantly broader range of games and improved game features both before and during sports matches. It is our clear ambition, also on sports games, to be competitive at the highest level."
