More than 900 people showed their support and attended Garrett Reid's funeral, son of Eagles coach Andy Reid. Among the attendees were NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Browns President Mike Holmgren and Patriots coach Bill Belichick.
Holmgren referred to Andy Reid as the ''son I never had.''
On Sunday morning Garrett Reid, 29, was discovered deceased in his dorm room at Lehigh University. He was working training camp along with the Eagles' strength and conditioning coach during training camp. With a history of drugs behind him, it has been reported that Reid had a new lease on life.
The funeral was held on Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where more many colleagues and league officials came from around the country to show their support and pay respects. In attendance was Ravens coach, John Harbaugh, Saints defensive coordinator, Steve Spagnuolo, Colts general manager, Ryan Grigson and Browns general manager, Tom Heckert.
Among the hundreds of people at the funeral, Harbaugh recognized Reid as the one comforting people.
