ODS Oddset Deutschland Sportwetten GmbH to get a retail and online operation
The latest news at Intralot SA are that, in partnership with American lottery technology provider Scientific Games Corporation it has won a contract with German sportsbetting monopoly ODS Oddset Deutschland Sportwetten GmbH for the provision of a retail and online operation.
The betting platform that Oddset will be getting thanks to the deal, fully supports retail and interactive businesses providing complete risk management and interactive operational services.
The establishment of Oddset, which took place recently, is to modernize and develop the state's existing sportsbetting operations via the Deutsche Lotto und Toto Block national retail network which has more than 23,000 points of sale.
Another aspiration of the newly formed venture is to become a leader in Germany's betting market, and in that aim it plans to apply for one of the 20 seven-year national sportsbetting concessions.
The implementation of the deal should come before the end of 2012.
