Update: Mobile Betting Bill Reaches New Jersey Governor
House of Assembly gives a unanimous approval to the proposal A measure allowing the use of "on-premises" mobile devices for betting at Atlantic City casino resorts received a unanimous approval by the New Jersey House of Assembly members. Following the Senate endorsement, the House positive vote places the measure in front of the Governor Chris Christie, whose signature will upgrade the bill into state law. The measure specifies obligatory verification that mobile devices will not be operating beyond the physical boundaries of the casino properties, a document to be issued by the state Division of Gaming Enforcement. Gamblers will be required to establish a mobile betting account with the casino bets, plus all bets would have to be paid on casino grounds.
