Hoosier Park launches “on premises” FastBet Mobile System
Downtown Indianapolis casino technology gaining popularity Hoosier Park Racing and Casino has introduced the FastBet Mobile system allowing their customers to place wagers on horse races using the available hand held devices, but only on the company's property in downtown Indianapolis. According to the Associated Press news agency, players will also soon be able to bet via their smartphones. The innovative system covers the company's most representative services including Hoosier Park's Winner's Circle Pub, Grille and OTB. The system has been launched Monday this week to offer the company's guests a possibility to use 7-inch tablets provided on the spot to place wagers as long as they are on the property, even in the restaurant and bar which are showing live races on several TV screens. Gamblers will be able to use this free online betting service via their own smartphones, iPads or Android tablets from the July 4 weekend. General manager, Tricia Lavore, explained that players must put down a $50 deposit in order to use the in-house tablets. The amount is refunded when the tablets are returned. The procedure defines that users must first deposit funds at a teller window, so that the account balance is always displayed on their tablets. According to Lavore, the Winner's Circle is the only facility in Indiana which received the approval from the Indiana Horse Racing Commission, although there are other off-track-betting sites in the country using the similar program. With this technology, gamblers can place their wagers much closer to the "off' in races using the latest available odds while spending time with friends in the social environment and enjoying the fun of placing the bets together, Lavore concluded.
