Paddy Power appoints New Managers for Operations and IT
Senior management changes to support further growth Paddy Power plc, a group for providing online and land gambling services, announced fresh appointments in its senior management in order to further strengthen the company's executive team in view of the prospective growth of business. The first-time appointed Head of Operations William Reeve (39), the co-founder of LOVEFiLM.com, will take over the position as of September 5th 2012. His scope of responsibility will include Technology, Risk & Trading, HR and Corporate Strategy. Strategy within business units and new geographies will remain as up to now without the change of the currently appointed heads. The ex CTO of last minute.com, Fin Goulding (51), has been appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO) effective June 18th. He will be in charge of the technology functions for the Paddy Power's business channels in the UK, Ireland and Italy and will report to Reeve. Reeve is a graduate of University College, Oxford and a former strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company and. As a co-founder of LOVEFiLM.com, Reeve held various positions such as Managing Director, President and COO from the date of company's foundation back in 2003 up to 2008, when it was known as the Europe's largest online film rental service. Before founding LOVEFiLM, he co-founded Fletcher Research in 1997, which was the UK's largest internet research company and subsequently acquired by Forrester Research as the NASDAQ listed company. In parallel, he is a Chairman of Graze.com and has served as a non-executive director of a number of flourishing internet companies, including, among others, Zoopla and Secret Escapes. Fin Goulding was CIO and Vice President of the Global Development Centre of Sabre Holdings Argentina. Previously, Fin developed his career as a Senior Vice President of Technological Solutions at VISA in San Francisco and held a number of senior technology roles position in renowned institutions such as Nat West Bank in Europe, First Data Europe and HSBC Bank.
