Will Hill No More in Australia?
Bookmaker complies with stringent requirement of Nevada license application It appears that famous bookmaker William Hill has decided to comply with the stringent process involved in its Nevada gaming licence application and withdraw from the Australian market, whose Interactive Gambling Act 2001 states the provision of casino and poker games to Australian residents as a punishable offence. It has been reported that William Hill sent an advisory to players in which it said: "Following previous communications, please be advised that we have taken the decision to withdraw our Sports betting service for any customer registered in Australia. Any real cash funds held in your account will now appear in your main William Hill account and you can arrange withdrawal of these funds through the 'My Account' section of our site." Reportedly, William Hill management confirmed the exit.
