Bodog Loses Sponsorship Deal with UK Football Club
Bodog Europe has opted to step back from their shirt sponsorship deal with UK football club West Bromwich Albion by the end of May, allowing the club to strike a more beneficial deal with property firm Zoopla. According to media reports, Zoopla has made a two year deal with the club is worth GBP 3 million. Press releases from the football club indicate that they reached a mutual agreement with Bodog to end the contract and club officials have nothing but good to say about the manner in which Bodog has handled the situation. Adrian Wright, marketing director for the club, said: “The mutual decision to part company with Bodog was not an easy one for the club based on the fact we were very happy with our relationship. “However, the club has been presented with an attractive new opportunity and Bodog were more than happy to accommodate our request to step aside and enable us to pursue a different avenue.”
