Lovett (72), which included 16 counts of running illegal online gambling operations, the defendant has pleaded guilty to a single count to reduce his liability. He entered his plea before the Springfield district court on May 18, admitting that he was transmitting wagering information over the Internet. This plea was a part of the agreement Lovett reached with federal prosecutors. It specifies that he ran a gambling operation that primarily handled wagers placed on National Football League games between Jan. 1, 2003, and Feb. 8, 2011.
