Sports and online betting subject of a new bill
The latest reports from Delaware is that the state House is to consider and vote on a bill authorizing intra-state online betting and allowing more sites for sports wagering and other gambling.
On May 17, the House Gaming and Parimutuels Committee voted and pushed the bill further. The proposal envisages not only introduction of online gambling, but an expansion of keno beyond Delaware's three existing casinos to at least 100 other sites, and bringing betting on NFL games in at least 20 more venues.
It is widely estimated that the expected revenue would allow the state to eliminate $4 million in slot machine fees paid by the casinos and reduce their table game fees by more than $3 million.
