Paddy Power's Ad Not On Youtube
Spicy football advert puts gambling group in trouble again Paddy Power is continuing to court controversy with its latest viral video ad, produced by ad agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky, a spoof on England football players' sexual proclivities and 'goal line technology'. That is why Youtube has imposed an over-18 years old restriction on the video. Criticising the decision and naming Youtube "the fun police", Paddy Power spokesman said: "Despite having a six figure view count and an overwhelmingly positive reaction by viewers, the fun police have decided to slap an over-18 restriction on our latest viral." In the vid the England team is experimenting with ways to avoid girls in Poland and Ukraine during the European Championship, distracting the footballers by fitting them with "goal line technology", sending an alarm to England new manager Roy Hodgson, and then showing two lab workers demonstrating the technology. No need to say that this is not the first time Paddy Power has been criticised for its often funny ads, and, as it is, it will probably not be the last.
