Chicago Bulls NBA Playoff Performance Suffers the Loss of Derrick Rose
The Chicago Bulls have lost Derrick Rose as a result of an injury and it has had its effects. Rose tore a ligament in his left knee during the last few seconds of Chicago's game 1 win on Saturday. With a promising shot at becoming the NBA champs, Chicago felt the lack of their one time MVP as they lost a playoff game 109-92 to Philadelphia. The leadership Rose brings to the team was surely missed as they went on to miss 11 consecutive shots in the second half. Chicago won 50 games during the regular season to seize a home-court edge throughout the NBA playoffs. "Just a disappointing effort overall," commented Bulls center Joakim Noah. "We didn't play well offensively. We didn't play well defensively. We got our ass kicked. We will see what we are made of." "It was different (without Rose)," said Noah. "There are no excuses though. We know we can play better than that.” "I feel determination. I feel frustration. It's disappointing but we live to fight another day and there's a lot of basketball yet to be played." The Bulls will travel to Philadelphia for games 3 and 4 of the best-of-seven series on Friday and Sunday.
