Manchester City vs Manchester United: the Titanic Clash for the Title
There are just three games left to play for these two sides in the English soccer Premier League and who will win the title this season is still a complete unknown. Manchester United had what appeared a comfortable advantage over their arch rivals a few weeks ago but now it will all depend on the direct clash between the two bitter rivals. Manchester City will play hosts to Manchester United on Monday night, 8.00 pm British Time. The Red Devils, aka Manchester United, have a three-point advantage over their rivals before Monday's derby so, if they manage to grab a draw their title chances would be pretty much safe while a win would almost guarantee that they win the title for the second time in a row. On the other hand Manchester City have all the reasons in the world to be optimistic, especially after thrashing their rivals 6-1 in their first meeting of the season, on October 23rd 2011. Moreover, their record at home this season is almost flawless: 21 wins out of 22 games. Manchester City will only have one absence to worry about, that of striker Mario Balotelli who is suspended. The problems are much bigger for United, who will miss Nemanja Vidic, Darren Fletcher and Anderson while Nani and Jonny Evans are doubtful. If Manchester City wins then the two sides will be tied on 83 points with two games left to play. For Manchester City those two games are away at Newcastle and at home against QPR, a bit tougher than Manchester United's schedule, who will face Swansea at home before a final clash at Sunderland. Here are the probable line ups for Monday night's derby: MANCHESTER CITY Hart - Richards, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy – Y. Toure, Barry - Silva, Tevez, Nasri - Aguero MANCHESTER UNITED De Gea - Smalling, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra - Valencia, Carrick, Scholes, Nani - Rooney, Welbeck However it goes, it will probably be another match to remember. Here's how the odds from William Hill look like: Man City win - 5/4 Draw - 2/1 Man Utd win - 5/2
