New Sponsorship Deal for Betfair

Another Aussie rugby team gets major sponsor According to an announcement made by the Queensland Rugby Union this week, online betting exchange Betfair has closed a sponsorship deal with the St. George Reds. Based on the deal, Betfair will be advertised through the Reds digital platform, also getting in-stadium advertising and grass signage at home games. As it was stated by Queensland Rugby, CEO, Jim Carmichael, “Betfair has been involved with the Australian Rugby Union for several years. Their decision to go beyond that agreement - to also sponsor the Reds speaks volumes for their support of the Queensland Reds and the Code in general.” On the other side, Carmichael's Betfair counterpart Andrew Twaits, commented: "This new partnership will help broaden our awareness nationally, but crucially in the Queensland market. We believe the Reds will help raise our profile and our role in promoting responsible gambling in all sectors.”
