Tiger Woods Plays Kick the Club
Tiger Woods lost it during round two of the Masters at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. Woods' performance hasn't been up to par over the last few days. He had some difficulty making par on the par-5 15th hole and after a couple of wild swings, he made it to the tee par-3 16th and proceeded to kick his club. The four-time Masters champ, sent his tee shot into the greenside bunker at 16 and before the ball hit the green, he tossed his club to the ground kicking the club 10 yards. The game is golf not kick the club. CBS golf analyst, Nick Faldo, candidly comments, "I think we can officially say Tiger has lost his game . . . and his mind." Twitter began to blow up with folks flailing comments about Woods' actions. When asked about his actions at the 16th, Woods said, "Well, it's a simple 9-iron. It's not that hard. Just a three-quarter 9-iron … it's a very easy shot." He was even more disappointed by the 4-iron on 15 but opted not to beat that one up. "The 4-iron probably ticked me off more than the 9-iron because I can hit that ball 50 yards left of that flag and still be fine. The only thing I can't do is put it to the right of the hole. And what do I do? I put it right of the hole. So that was very frustrating." Woods did make bogey on the 16th leaving him 3 over par and finishing with a score of 75, tied for 40th and eight shots from the lead.
