Bayern Munich-Marseille Ends in Favor of Germans
Routine win with final score 2-0 It was a good game for Bayern Munich against Marseille this week, turning them into another one of the Champions League semi-finalists. In the first leg, Bayern had a lead of 2-0, and thanks to another fantastic game from Ivica Olic, the German club proved to be a justified favorite in the duel. Marseille's goalkeeper Steve Mandanda was the main one to thank for the result, as it could have been much worse for his club if it hadn't been for his brilliant reflexes. The first goal came as a creation of Franck Ribery, who went on a looping run around the Marseille defense and then crossed for Olic who, from a potentially offside position, scored beyond Mandanda. After 37 minutes, it was time for Olic's second goal, which sealed the result to 2-0 and brought his club another semi-final in the competition.
