Barca- AC Milan Duel Sees Barcelona Win
Messi scores twice in 3-1 win It's going to be yet another UEFA Champions League semifinal for Barcelona, which had to outplay AC Milan at the Camp Nou to get through to it. They won by a 3-1 margin, with Lionel Messi scoring twice, and his club having received two penalty kicks. The first one was given for a clear-cut foul inside the box by Luca Antonini on Lionel Messi – also the first one scored by the fantastic Messi. Then, Milan appeared to have woken up, hitting the goal in the 32nd minute, when Antonio Nocerino managed to equalize the result for Milan. As for the second penalty, it was on a much more controversial side than the first one. Namely, Alessandro Nesta grabbed Sergio Busquets' jersey just before a corner kick and the Barcelona midfiedler went down, and that was the move for which the referee gave a penalty. Milan thought it was unfair, because Nesta committed a foul, but worse contact before free kicks goes uncalled in almost every game, and Puyol pushed Nesta before he pulled down Busquets. Nevertheless, the penalty was given, along with the chance for Messi to score his second goal at the game, also his 14th in the Champions League. The final score goal was achieved in the 53rd minute by Andrés Iniesta, who with this score killed all Milan's hopes for success.
