Online gambling software deal closed The association between the UK online and land betting group Ladbrokes plc and software provider Openbet has been renewed when the two companies closed a new long-running software supply agreement. Based on the deal, software, development, support and games services will be provided to Ladbrokes, which will be able to offer its customers superb content and products from OpenBet, other existing suppliers, and new providers. In accordance with Ladbrokes' strategy to increase flexibility in its core technologies, OpenBet will re-create the existing software supplied to Ladbrokes, providing it with a a scalable yet somewhat different service to OpenBet's standard offering. It has been assessed by Ladbrokes CEO Richard Glynn:"We are pleased to extend our long-standing relationship with OpenBet through a more flexible agreement which offers revenue opportunities to both parties and increases the range of games we offer. This is another step on the road to developing a unique Ladbrokes customer experience." In related news, it has been reported that 35-year Ladbrokes veteran and head of the betting company's international business development affairs, Kevin Hopgood is leaving to pursue his ambitions in consulting. According to the company, Hopgood will be replaced by South African-born Adam Greenblatt, who prior to this served as Ladbrokes' director for corporate and strategic development. Before Ladbrokes, Greenblatt worked as md for the UK and Northern Europe operations of JobFact, and held senior posts with Arthur Anderson and Rothschild.
