Boylesports to Be Restructured
More focus on online operations A new report came this week that online bookmaker Boylesports plans a radical restructure of its business with which it strives to focus on Internet gambling operations. It has been specified by John Boyle, founder and group CEO that the plan is to separate the group's 176 retail outlets in Ireland from its online operations, which will then become a new division that will seek to expand internationally. The company's head of online operations, Keith O'Loughlin, thereby becomes chief executive of new division, called Boylesports Online in which he will be in charge of the development of the online betting and gaming sites across mobile and other digital platforms, but also building the BoylePoker brand. In addition, Boyle, who will remain on the head of the group, said: “This new restructure indicates a significant investment in its digital channels and will fuel the future growth and direction of the business. “Now is the right time for us to restructure to ensure that both the retail and online side of the business continue to grow. Our loyal shop customers in Ireland are very important to us, but we also need to consider our customers, and potential customers, in markets further afield. We feel we can best cater to all by taking this action now.”
