Betgenius closes a deal with Paddy Power's Aussie subsidiary This week, an announcement came that the Betgenius' Connextra adserving product has been licensed to Paddy Power's Australian subsidiary Sportsbet. This way, Sportsbet will get the chance to include live odds, data and promotions into its advertising campaigns through the Connextra, which according to Betgenius serves over 8 billion adverts per month. According to Dave Watkins who heads up Connextra Sales, “We are very pleased to be working with Sportsbet and look forward to building on a new relationship with them. This Australasian market is hugely important for us and we are very happy to be providing our Connextra ad serving product to another bookmaker in this region.” On the other side, Luke Rattigan, commercial director at Sportsbet, stated: “We are excited to be working with Betgenius and incorporating the Connextra platform into our new marketing campaigns. We are looking forward to reaping the benefits of this product and our new relationship with Betgenius and testing the technology's capabilities.” In related news, Sportsbet announced the sponsorship deal it has closed with the Professional Rugby League football teams Newcastle Jets and the Newcastle Knights, to which it has become an official betting partner. Thanks to the deal, the company will see a lot of advertizing in-stadium, online and it will also be able to offer member promotions. In addition to this, the deal envisages that a Jets and Knights celebrity should placing a bet each week at Sportsbet during their respective season, with any winnings donated to their chosen charity at season's end. According to Hunter Sports Group chief executive officer Troy Palmer, “It is fantastic to secure another major national brand across the Knights and Jets,” whereas his Sportsbet counterpart Cormac Barry added: “We are extremely pleased to be partnering with the Hunter Sports Group and look forward to contributing to the many charity groups that will be involved in this partnership.”
